The Northwestern Ontario District Health Council will no longer shape
the future of the Regional Health Care system as of March 31st.
Chair Paulina Chow says the McGuinty Government has announced the 16
Ontario Councils will be replaced by Local Health Integration Networks.

6 full time employees will lose their job as a result however the
Council will work with the Government to ensure a smooth transition.
The new Local Health Integration Network will extend from the Manitoba
Border to White River.
