Health Minister Not Predicting Change In Mandates

The province has no plans to bring back COVID restrictions, including mandatory mask mandates in indoor spaces, as a new school year approaches.

That’s according to Minister of Health Sylvia Jones.

“We have always worked very closely and listened to the advice of the Chief Medical Officer of Health and that advice is driven by information from hospitals, from public health units, from the science table. We’ll continue to do that.”

Jones says Ontario should be very proud of where we are in vaccinations, calling our province a leader.

She notes people are listening to health experts and have taken ownership of their health.
