The Northwestern Health Unit is distributing a number of healthy living books to the region’s elementary schools.
Both Catholic and Public School Boards will receive the books that help teach health related skills.
Chief Administrative Officer Mark Perrault says the books also integrate Aboriginal culture into classroom lessons.
The initiative is part of the Health Unit’s 60th Anniversary Celebrations.
Meantime, Perrault dds they are still actively searching for a Medical Officer of Health and should have one in place for the new year.
