The Northwestern Health Unit is urging local residents to get involved in the upcoming provincial election.
“Get Informed, Be Heard, and Vote” is the name of a new campaign launched by the Health Unit.
Medical Officer of Health Dr. Kit Young-Hoon says the initiative provides an easy way for potential voters to learn more about the stance of provincial party leaders on various health care issues.
Young-Hoon says the goal is to ensure that specific health concerns are raised with all party leaders.
She says the campaign focuses on adult oral health, alcohol use, smoke-free spaces, and income and poverty policies.
