The Northwestern Health Unit is pleased to see new vaccines being funded through Ontario’s immunization program.
Chicken pox, pneumonia and meningitis shots are being added to the list which Nurse Karen Essery says is a long time coming.
Essery adds that they are still waiting for some more funding details from the Province.
The program will start in July and be in full swing by January 1st.
The vaccines will cost the Government $156 million over 3 years.
