Health Unit Programs Receive Financial Backing

The Northwestern Health Unit has received nearly $100,000
for various programs.
$75,000 will ensure sexual health clinics across the Region are screened
for all types of abuse.
The money will also be spent on extensive training for clinic staff.
Sioux Lookout based Nutritionist Jennifer Maki has been awarded a
$15,000 grant to take part in a Canada-wide food security study.
The Health Unit has also been handed $8,000 to enable disadvantaged
kids in Fort Frances to take part in sport and recreation.
