Health Unit Releases Annual Report Card

Tackling obesity and promoting chronic disease prevention.
Those are two priorities the Northwestern Health Unit has, as they are out with their annual public health report card.
Medical Officer of Health Dr. Jim Arthurs says first they need to identify the vulnerable populations that need the information because they aren’t able to access it.
The report touches on a number of topics including food safety, sexual health programs, tobacco use, dental health and much more.
Arthurs says they will use the information to improve their current services and their 2013-2016 Strategic Plan.
