Hearings Set Up Looking at Hospital Funding

The Ontario Health Coalition says it will hold 12 public hearings on the future of rural and northern hospitals that it says are under threat by the governing Liberals.
The group says small hospitals are closing and the work of a government panel set up to review health care in rural and northern communities has been shrouded in mystery.
Executive director Natalie Mehra says most of the hearings will be held in southwestern and northeastern Ontario, but people from this area can still
provide input.
Mehra says they are holding these consultations because a provincially appointed panel looking at health care in rural and northern Ontario has refused to meet with patients or other groups concerned about our health care system.
