It’s Day #9 in the search for a missing Winnipeg man in the Dryden area.
Police say 25-year-old Lukas Whitmore was seen walking into Chomsita Trailer Park on October 1st.
He was last seen in a wooded area at the end of town.
Dryden Police, OPP, the Regional Crime Unit and an OPP Helicopter are all involved in the search.
OPP Constable Erin Huckell says they have received several calls from concerned citizens given the heavy police presence in the area.
Police say Whitmore went missing after he was released from custody for alleged impaired driving.
OPP say he was on his way to Thunder Bay to visit his sister before he disappeared.
Continuing warm temperatures mean Whitmore should be able to handle the weather.
Huckell says their search is not classified as a manhunt and stresses that Whitmore poses no threat to the public.
He is described as 5-foot-3, slim build, blue eyes, with brown hair and a receding hair line.
He was last seen wearing dark clothing.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police or Crime Stoppers.
