Heavy Reliance On Credit Cards This Shopping Season

A lot of us are relying on credit to do our holiday shopping.

A recent survey found that 63% of Canadians have used a credit card for their shopping, while 39% will still have debt at the end of the season.

20% will hang on to the debt for one or two months, while another 8% will continue to pay down that debt for up to a year.

When it comes to budgeting, 25% of Canadians go over their planned spending.

Some 1,300 shoppers were surveyed.
