The heavy winds caused some problems for the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry Wednesday.
A total of 15 new fires sparked across the northwest as a result of downed trees and hydro lines.
Information Officer Jonathan Scott says some even required water bomber response.
Some of the fires are still not under control but pose no threat.
The potential for new fires won’t be going down as temperatures are expected to reach 20 in the next couple of days.
