Hectic Evening for Machin Fire

It didn’t matter how quick Machin firefighters were on Wednesday night, downed power lines prevented crews from advancing on a barn fire in Waldof.
Machin Fire was dispatched around 7:15 but had to wait until Ontario Hydro cleared the hazard.
The structure and contents were completely destroyed.
The action didn’t stop, as 14-firefighters then had to deal with a grass fire that resulted from the initial blaze.
Crews were on scene for 4-hours.
