A 38 year old Ignace man has been hit with a $500 fine.
Calvin Wright was charged by the MNR with keeping 2 Bobcats in capticity, without a permit.
Such licenses are normally only issued to zoos or animal rehab facilities.
Wright purchased the cats as kittens from a Quebec fur rancher in May 2002.
The animals have since escaped & have not been re-captured but even if they return, the courts say Wright can not keep them.
