The Red Lake Regional Heritage Centre is celebrating a successful first
year.
Over 1,000 school students and countless number of visitors have
walked through the doors over a 12-month period.
Curator Michelle Alderton says the Centre showcases the
history of Red Lake, mining as well as the history of the Museum.
The Centre hasn’t been able to host an open house, so a special grand
opening ceremony is set for Saturday from 11 until 2.
Tours, a local geology display, prize, a history on air mail service and other
special exhibits will highlight the day.
