The union representing high school teachers has apparantly suspended contract talks with the Ontario Public School Boards Association and the government.
The Toronto local of the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation posted a statement on Twitter saying the talks were suspended to give the government time to reconsider its position.
The tweet said the OSSTF would return to the bargaining table when the employer gets serious.
No official comment has been made.
Last month, president Paul Elliott indicated that some high school teachers were threatening to withdraw their services by the end of the month.
