High School Teacher ratifying

The Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation says it likely won’t know until the end of this week whether high school teachers with the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board have ratified a four year contract.

Because the school year is over, the O.S.S.T.F. sent out mail-in ballots to all its local members.

Dave Rhind is the local union president and says they should start recieving ballots on Wednesday, but they won’t start counting them until Friday at the earliest.

The high school teachers reached a tentative contract agreement with the public school board last week and Rhind says they are recommending to their members to vote in favour of it.
