After many closures, Highway 17 is fully open between the Vermilion Bay and Thunder Bay.
However, as of 7 PM, only westbound traffic is being allowed to go past Vermilion Bay.
Eastbound traffic between the border and Vermilion Bay is being held up sporadically due to road and weather and has been opened and closed for much of the evening
Meanwhile, Highway 71 Through Sioux Narrows is open as is Highway 502 between Dryden and Fort Frances
Given weather and road conditions, CKDR suggests staying home and staying safe.
