The Trans-Canada highway is closed between Upsala and Raith.
Provincial Police say the road is closed due to a washout.
As of 2:00 PM, OPP say it could be several hours before they are able to reopen Highway 17.
The closure is about 145-kilometres west of Thunder Bay.
You can use Highway 11 through Atikokan as a detour.
