Ontario Provincial Police are reporting that Highway 17 is closed between Vermilion Bay and the Manitoba Border. Police say the closure is due to poor road conditions and there is no word on when it will be open again.
In an official press release, OPP say;
“Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police have closed Highway 17 from the Manitoba Border to Vermilion Bay and Highway 71 between Kenora and Fort Frances due to deteriorating road conditions. Travel is not recommended on other highways in the area.”
Ontario 511 is reporting Hwy 105 between Vermilion Bay and Ear Falls is also closed due to poor road conditions.
