Highway 17 Closed for 6 Hours

A fire to a large moving trailer forced the closure of Highway 17
between Vermilion Bay and Dryden for 6-hours Sunday.
Dryden and Oxdrift fire crews were called after the semi transporting
household items caught on fire near Parker Road.
Passenger vehicles were divered around the scene however all
transports were held back.
No one was injured and the cause of the blaze is under investigation.
Motorists can expect some delays today as crews continue the clean-up
effort.
