Highway 17 Closed

An early start for police as the Easter long-weekend is underway.
OPP say the Trans Canada Highway just west of Vermilion Bay is closed due to a motor vehicle collision.
OPP closed the section of Highway 17 around 8:30 this morning.
Few details have been released however police say a tractor trailer was involved.
There is no word on injuries or when the highway will reopen.
Police recommend motorists to stay away from the area.
Road conditions throughout the region are slippery and motorists are urged to use caution when traveling.
