Highway 17 is now open following an early Thursday morning collision involving three transports.
The crash occurred around 2:30 this morning about 15 kilometres east of Ignace.
Two people in a westbound tractor trailer unit died at the scene.
Two others in the other westbound transport and eastbound unit were transported to hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries.
No names have been released and police are investigating the cause.
The Trans-Canada was closed until 7:00 Thursday night.
