Tragedy on a local highway once again this weekend.
Provincial Police confirm one person was killed in a two vehicle collision just west of Vermilion Bay Sunday night.
The crash closed the Trans-Canada just after 7:00.
Highway 17 was closed to two-way traffic for three and a half hours, before one lane was finally opened around 10:30.
Both lanes weren’t fully re-opened until 3:00 Monday morning.
