Highway 594 Reconstruction Over Budget

The high cost of oil has put the Highway 594 reconstruction project
$220,000 over budget.
The paving, culvert replacement and curb and gutter work now comes
in at over $643,000.
The Provincial Government is on the hook for 90% of the costs
and the City will apply for more funding at the end of the year to cover
the shortfall.
Mike Fenton is the Director of Engineering and Public Works and says
the project will go ahead as planned.
