The Ministry of Transportation has re-opened Highway 17 to Vermilion Bay just two hours after it was closed.
The MTO says Highway 17 at Highway 105 was closed in both directions around 2:00 due to the weather, but traffic is once again moving on the Tran-Canada Highway.
Highway 599 is still fully closed from the Highway 17 junction, closing access to Sioux Lookout.
Residents are asked to use extreme caution and to avoid travel if at all possible.
