A tough weekend to be a hiker on the Mantario Trail in Whiteshell Provincial Park.
The RCMP were called out not once, but twice over the past two days.
Monday morning, a hiker began experiencing severe abdominal pain while on a trek with two other people.
A distress call was put out, and the RCMP were able to get a float plane in to rescue the hiker on Moosehead Lake.
He was then taken to hospital by ambulance.
A day earlier, another hiker was injured while walking the trail in the area of Ritchie Lake.
As the weather turned bad, a call for help was put out.
Once again a float plane was commandeered and the injured hiker was rescued.
