An offensive explosion for the Dryden Ice Dogs in Superior International Junior Hockey League action last night.
Tyson Holder scored twice as the Dogs defeated the visiting Duluth Clydesdales 8-5.
Holder says it wasn’t pretty, but they got the two points.
Holder adds the team is starting to come together.
Evan Capoblanco scored in his first game as an Ice Dog, while Robert Kopytek secured the win in his first game.
Chris Belhumer also scored twice, while Jesse Linner, Cole Sonstebo and Paul Thompson added singles.
Dryden is back on the ice tonight against Duluth at 7:30.
In other SIJHL action, the Minnesota Iron Rangers upset the second ranked team in the nation.
The Iron Rangers pulled out a 2-1 shootout win over the Minnesota Wilderness.
