Spirits were high in Dryden this afternoon as the CP Holiday Train entertained hundreds of kids of all ages.
Juno Award winners Melanie Doane and Crystal Shawanda put on a great show but the big winner was the Dryden Food Bank.
CP Rail made a surprising $6,000 donation to the Food Bank.
Manager Doug Robertson says they are doing well this year for donations but stresses they are always in need of more.
Robertson adds any time they can get attention, it helps their clients.
He notes help is always needed during the Christmas season.
Robertson says they service 80-120 clients a week.
The festive locomotive also made stops in Ignace and will also be making a stop in Vermilion Bay.
