The Kenora District Services Board is pleased with the progress on the Homeward Bound Project.
The program houses single indigenous mothers while they attend education to find a fulfilling career.
Chief Administrative Officer Henry Wall says it is a very unique initiative as it is based off of a project in the Toronto area, but the local program carries important cultural aspects.
He also says the support shown from community organizations has been phenomenal.
