Eagle River community volunteers continue to do their amazing work!
The following details and pictures about what they have been up to lately are supplied by Eagle River volunteer Connie Calvert……
“Our local artist and volunteer, Linda Carter, has once again exceeded our expectations with her vision, talent and work of art.
If you’re out for a drive or going to pick up your mail, stop and admire her work on the wall at the Municipal garage. It highlights several different lures and yes, you get hooked on Eagle River. Thank you Linda!
Grieg Carter built an awesome book box which Bob Hampe installed at the Eagle River Rec Hall (on the pole opposite the mailboxes). We have two boxes there now as one was constantly overflowing with reading material.
Sharon Flickinger is our volunteer ‘book keeper’. She changes out the books for you to enjoy at your leisure.
Thank you Grieg, Bob and Sharon!
We are grateful for our volunteers and their generosity and invaluable support.
Where would we be without volunteers?”
Born in Cochenour a “few” decades ago, he lives and breathes Sunset Country. He's been on-air for CKDR and you for over 38 years and by his own admission he's still trying to get it right! When not on-air Richard likes to cosplay as 'Spider-Dad McCarthy'. Listen weekday mornings from 6 to 10 on CKDR and on 'the web' at YourSunsetCountry.ca. Find out what's happening in Sunset Country with McCarthy In The Morning.
