Premier Ford is slashing funding for Mental Health and Addictions Ontario.
An original funding plan of $2.1 billion over 4 years has been ratified to $1.9 billion over 10 years.
NDP Leader Andrea Horwath is calling the cut devastating to youth and frontline workers.
She says there are thousands of children waiting for 18 months to receive support and this move will only hurt Ontario families. (File Photo)
And Doug Ford’s cut to mental health funding is certain to hurt all of Ontario, because, as a province, together we face the consequences of failing to provide health care for individuals struggling with a mental health challenge or crisis. 2/4

The NDP and I believe it’s critical that Ontario invests now in increased mental health services throughout the province, from supportive housing to mental health and addictions counselling, and much more access for children and youth struggling or in crisis. 4/4 #onpoli
