Hospital Anticipating A Balanced Budget

The Dryden Regional Health Centre has presented its budget projections for the 2014-2015 year.
The Hospital is looking at a $23.3-million, nearly $25,000 more than 2013.
The fear of the unknown when it comes to provincial funding, increases to salaries and wages as well as high utility costs are hindering operations.
Saying that van Oort is anticipating a balanced budget.
He notes they are making a number of assumptions and stresses the financial picture may change.
Van Oort says the financial blueprint includes more than $693,000 in capital projects.
Planned capital includes new treadmills for the physiotherapy department, new beds, ventilators and monitors.
The kitchen could see new dishwashers and ovens.
Van Oort says they will be renovating certain rooms as well as the pharmacy area.
