Hospital Moves in Sioux Lookout

Officials with the Meno-Ya Win Health Centre in Sioux Lookout are now preparing for the grueling move from the 7th and 5th Avenue sites.
It will be a 7-day ordeal, culminating with the official opening of the new Health Centre November 7th.
Doug Moynihan is the Vice-President of Corporate Services and says they now must decide what equipment and furniture can be moved and what can be donated or thrown away.
Meantime, the Health Centre hopes to offer new programs in the new Hospital.
A withdrawal management area as well as mammography screening and diagnostic services are all in the works.
The group also continues to fund-raise for a new CT Scan Unit.
So far, $1.3-million has been raised for the project.
