The Dryden Regional Health Centre has scored a whopping 98.5% in the latest Accreditation Canada audit.
CAO Wade Petranik says the Hospital is measured against some 1,400 standards throughout the entire organization.
Petranik adds the Hospital was recognized for its ‘Community Service Patient Navigation’ program which helps patients link-up with Family Health Team Services.
He credits Hospital staff and management for the glowing report.
He notes they didn’t meet 21-standards and notes plans are in place to work towards a perfect score.
Petranik says limited space in the pharmacy, medication management in the pharmacy and no official organ donation program were among the issues that need to be looked at.
He says he plans to speak with other rural hospitals to see what they are doing in terms of organ donations.
