Hospital Sitting in Good Financial Shape

The Dryden Regional Health Centre has released its financial
projections for the next couple of years.
The Hospital is now required to submit the forecast to the Local Health
Integration Network to receive funding.
The Hospital is currently sitting with a surplus of roughly
$400,000 and CAO Wade Petranik says that should help balance the
books leading up to 2010.
Petranik cautions after that time the financial picture could be cloudy
as the CT Scan Unit should be fully operational and nurse salary’s could be
going up.
The Health Centre is expected to see 2.5% and 2% increases in its
base funding over the next 2-years, however its unclear if the LHIN will
provide additional funds.
