The Town of Pickle Lake has been forced to cut after-hours service at
the medical clinic.
Mayor Roy Hoffman says the community can’t afford the cost of running
the clinic 24-hours-a-day and on-call service now ends at 5 o’clock.
Pickle Lake residents will need to wait for the clinic to open.
The alternative is sick or injured will need to call the local
ambulance service to be transfered to another medical facility.
The Town applied for funding to keep it open but was turned down.
1-physician and a full and part time nurse work at the clinic.
