House Fire Investigation Underway

The Dryden Police Service has joined the city fire service and the Ontario Fire Marshall in an investigation of a fire that destroyed two houses in South Dryden early Saturday morning.
Police say the fire began in the corner lot of Number 6 Sandy Beach Mews, a home which was vacant and still under construction.
The blaze quickly spread to neighbouring Number 4 where a family of three managed to escape unharmed.
Two other nearby homes received minor damage due to exposure to the fire.
Electrical Safety Authority officials are involved in the investigation.
Police estimate losses of more than 300-thousand dollars in the cul-de-sac.
