Howard Hampton has attacked the Eves Government on its latest moves on education.
The Kenora-Rainy River MPP was warmly applauded at the Elementary Teachers Federation annual meeting in Toronto.
Hampton slammed the Eves Government for trying to strongarm school boards into obeying government-appointed auditors.
He promised an NDP Government would put back 1.5-billion dollars into education and scrap funding of private schools.
He suggested it could be achieved in part by a tax for education on those who earn more than 100-thousand dollars a year.
