Atikokan’s bid to keep its Coal-Fired Generating Plant open has taken
another step backward.
As part of the Provinces plan to close such stations by 2007, the
Government has signed deals with 2-U.S. Companies to build Gas-Fired
Generating Plants near Sarnia.
Kenora-Rainy River MPP Howard Hampton says the announcement had no
price tag attached and he believes the Liberals have other options.
