The stiffest test of the year for the Dryden Eagles High School Football team.
The Eagles are in Winnipeg Thursday to face Kildonan East Collegiate.
Dryden sits in first place in their division with a 4-0 record.
Kildonan East is tied for second at 3-1.
The Eagles coaching staff stresses the Reivers boast one of the league’s top passing attacks in the league.
Slotback Michael Goldenstein leads the WHSFL ‘A’ Division in receiving with 344-yards and 5-touchdowns.
He averages 26.5-yards a catch.
Quarterback Danny Harris is second in passing yards and has 8-majors through the air.
On the other side of the ball, Dryden hasn’t allowed a point in two consecutive games and counter with the division’s leading interceptor, Thomas Moline.
On offence, the Eagles have five different ball carriers over 100-yards on the season.
Defensive Coordinator Neil McLeod is calling today “Turning Point Thursday”, noting his team has approached the season by taking one week at a time.
McLeod notes a win will put them in the drivers seat for top spot, with two more games to play.
He stresses his squad is focused on the task at hand.
