Huge Opening Win For Ice Dogs

You can say one thing about this years edition of the Dryden GM Ice Dogs, they never give up on a game.

The Ice Dogs never led until 4:10 left in overtime when Eric Stout finished off a 3-1 for the winner in a 5-4 thriller against the Georgetown Raiders.

Dryden GM spotted the number two ranked team in the nation an early 2-0 lead but continued to battle back.

Derek McPhail, Jacen Bracko, Nic Noseworthy and Trey Palermo also found the back of the net.

Patrick Zubick was sensational making 45 saves.

Dryden GM recorded 29 shots on a team that hadn’t allowed a goal in two games.

The Ice Dogs now control their own destiny with the tournament opening win.

They will play the Powassan Voodoo Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 central.

CKDR will have the call at 1:20.
