The Dryden Police Service is reporting a very successful Winter Coat Give-Away.
A total of 221 winter coats, 56 ski pants, 43 pairs of boots, and a multitude of hats, mitts and scarves were given to families in need.
There were numerous other donations as well as hours spent on knitting several items.
Chief Doug Palson says an anonymous organization donated $1,466 to ensure that dozens of children were supplied with warm winter clothing.
The Dryden Children’s Resource Centre also helped wash and dry all clothing.
