There’s been a discovery of suspected human remains in the Neebing area of Thunder Bay.
Provincial Police Constable Diana Cole says the remains were found by some anglers on the shore of Victoria Island on Lake Superior Sunday afternoon.
Cole says they are investigating with the assistance of the OPP North West Region Crime Unit.
The Office of the Chief Coroner has been contacted and a Forensic Anthropologist has attended the scene to examine the remains.
Cole says they have no idea how long the remains were on the island or even if it may be a male or female.
