Lac Seul First Nation is coming under fire from one native leader for not severing ties with Kenora law firm Keshen and Major.
The firm is currently under investigation for the way it handled claims under the Indian Residential School Compensation system.
Garnet Angeconeb says Lac Seul shouldn’t allow Keshen and Major to continue to act as their legal representatives.
Angeconeb says he is planning to launch a hunger strike and won’t take food or fluids until the band agrees to stop using the law firm.
