The Ministry of Natural Resources has used forensic evidence to
trap a Moose hunter.
A Southern Ontario man has been fined $2,500 after a
Moose was illegally shot near Ear Falls last October.
When officers questioned the hunter about the animal, he denied any
wrongdoing, however bullet casings taken at the scene matched his firearm.
He has been charged with careless use of a firearm, possessing an
illegally killed Moose and lying to a Conservation officer.
The man has also been banned from hunting for a year.
