A Marathon hunter faces a hefty fine for letting a deer carcass rot.
Conservation officers noticed a man loading a white tailed doe into the back of a pick-up
truck just west of Fort Frances last November.
The officers could smell the odor of some rotting meat in the back of the truck, where they found a
buck that had been killed five days earlier.
Michael Thomas has been fined 15 hundred dollars for allowing the flesh of a deer to become unsuitable for
human consumption.
