Hunters Banned from Hunting for 1 Year

Two Southern Ontario men have been fined $3,000 each for
shooting at a fake moose near Red Lake.
27-year-old Philip Montgomery of Barrie and 28-year-old Evan Bates of Parry Sound pleaded guilty to shooting from a motor boat and hunting a bull moose without a validation tag.
The two men were caught last October on Longlegged Lake, 40-kilometres southwest of Red Lake.
