A Michigan man and 2-Southern Ontario residents have been fined a total of $6,000 for illegally hunting moose in the Red Lake area.
Angelo Dimeo had applied for an adult moose tag in the 2007 resident draw, even though he did not live in the province.
He and the 2 other men killed a moose that fall.
Dimeo was fined $2,500 and received a 3-year hunting suspension.
Augusto D’Alfonso and Peter Pawlowicz were also ordered to pay for their part in the hunt.
