A Quebec resident has been fined 2-thousand dollars
after pleading guilty to illegally buying Ontario hunting
licences.
50 year old Gordon Maxwell was charged a thousand
dollars for making a false statement when applying for an
outdoors card.
The Blaineville resident was also fined another thousand
for using an invalid outdoors card to purchase moose, deer
and small game licences.
A Ministry of Natural Resources Conservation Officer
spoke with Maxwell as he was snaring rabbits north of
Sioux Lookout.
Maxwell moved to Quebec in 2004, and used his previous
Ontario address to apply for the outdoors card and game
licences.
