Two Vermont hunters have been fined 2 thousand and five
hundred dollars after pleading guilty to illegal deer
hunting.
Dryden Court heard two men shot and killed a buck in
November near the School Road area north of Kenora.
Local residents heard shots, and chased a truck with
Vermont licence plates leaving the scene.
44 year old Leonard Rivers of Montpelier has been fined
a thousand dollars for careless hunting and 500 for
trespassing.
35 year old Earl MacDonald of Westburke has been fined
a thousand dollars for careless hunting and trespassing.
Both are banned from hunting in Ontario for two years
and must take the hunter safety course before re-applying
for a hunting licence.
